Thank You!

During the May Café, we had a collection for funds to help start new Cafés in Uganda and Kenya.

I'm pleased to announce that we raised £38.  This has been forwarded to Duncan Dallas in Leeds, who is co-ordinating the aid effort from the UK.

Many thanks for the money for Africa from Sheffield. I haven't sent it off yet, but I suspect it will go to Kenya, where they are preparing to open Adult and Junior Cafes in Nairobi. If you would like to be 'twinned' with an African afe, let me know. The good thing about your donation is that I can use it as an example of how Cafes can help in The third World

That is a great idea - to be twinned with an African Cafe!

Sheffield Café Scientifique

Sheffield Café Scientifique is held in the café bar of "The Showroom", where the general public, practising scientists and science communicators gather in a relaxed and informal environment to explore the latest developments in science and technology.
We meet on the first Monday of each month (except when that's a bank holiday, we do the following Monday)
